The Speed Master collection is one of OMEGA's most iconic in their range, having been a part of all six lunar missions. In honour of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 in 1969, OMEGA presents this Limited Edition Moon watch of 6,969 pieces. The beautifully unique timepiece is presented on a polished and brushed metallic bracelet and comes with an additional Velcro strap with black-coated cork. On a 42mm steel case, the bezel is made of polished 19K Moonshine Gold with a polished black ceramic ring and an OMEGA Ceragold tachymeter scale. The dial is a varnished grey colour and black with all indices and hands applied in 18k Moonshine Gold - all except the central chronograph seconds hand which is PVD-coated in Moonshine Gold. At 9 o'clock, in on of the three sub-dials is an intricate laser-engraved image of Buzz Aldrin climbing down onto the lunar surface. Adding to the dial detail is a unique hour marker positioned at 11 o'clock, symbolic to the Apollo 11 mission. The case back has the same level of intricate detailing's; the central case back being a laser-engraved image of Buzz Aldrin's footprint positioned on a medallion under the sapphire crystal. 18k Moonshine Gold-plated lettering throughout the dial includes the famous quote: "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN" and " ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND". Powered by the Swiss made OMEGA Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement, this watch is water resistant to 50m.
