Released in 1957, the OMEGA Speedmaster was introduced as the brand's sports and racing chronograph. Which then led to branding them as Official Timekeepers of the Olympic Games.

“Speedmaster” was derived due to its incredible tachymetre bezel and was originally part of the OMEGA Seamaster collection before gaining its own popularity.
