Established back in 1926, Tudor boasts an amazing long-standing reputation for making watches of the highest of quality. Tudor has maintained a strong style and easily identifiable aesthetic throughout its impressive history as a trusted luxury watch brand, with the Black Bay being one of the brands most iconic collections.
Features
The first and most striking feature to highlight on the new beautifully crafted TUDOR Black Bay 58 is the eye-catching and contemporary navy-blue dial. This exciting new dial colour is set against a classic satin-brushed case that is complemented by beautifully bevelled edges, and polished contrast highlights. The 39mm diameter case is in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s, ideally proportioned to fit slim wrists, those who prefer a more compact watch and of course, enthusiasts of vintage design.
Like other models in the Black Bay line, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight models feature a dial inspired by the Tudor divers' watches of the 1950s. Featuring the Tudor logo, the classic dial markers and by adopting the famed angular snowflake hands that first appeared in the brands catalogue in 1969, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight earned its place in the impressive Tudor repertoire.
The dial of the new navy blue BB58 model is surrounded by a 60-clock unidirectional stainless-steel bezel that provides a subtle click at 12 o'clock while being protected by an elegant domed sapphire crystal glass. The winding crown tube is in satin-brushed steel, newly featured in the Black Bay line, which bears the TUDOR rose logo in relief.
The stainless steel bracelet features exquisite riveted details, inspired by the famous folding riveted bracelets of the Tudor watches from the 1950s and 1960s.The prestigious TUDOR shield becomes visible on the secure clasp on the reverse when worn and secured on the wrist. The new Black-Bay 58 is also available in a choice of soft-touch blue fabric or leather strap.
The automatic movement of the Black Bay 58 features a robust calibre MT5402 and proudly maintains the COSC certification which provides assurance of the excellence of this incredible watch, along with an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The TUDOR Black Bay 58 with blue dial features 27 jewels and is also waterproof up to 200 meters. A further feature is the bidirectional winding movement and non-magnetic silicon balance spring.
A subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking combines to create the Black Bay line and with this brand-new release comes from over 60 years of expert TUDOR divers' watch history favoured by seasoned professionals and adventurers alike.
