You will also want to have your jewellery appraised every 5 years or so, as jewels often go up in value over time, altering your insurance policy slightly.

Simply let your ring soak in a bowl of lukewarm water mixed with a few drops of mild soap. Then give it a gentle scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush and leave it to air dry.
