Caring for Your Wedding Ring
Now that you've selected the perfect ring and are ready to watz down the aisle, it's time to think about taking care of your bling. We provide with the best knowledge to ensure your ring sparkles forever.
The first is to insure your ring. This will often be discussed at your appointment when purchasing the ring to protect your investment in the event of it being lost, damaged, or stolen. You will also want to have your jewellery appraised every 5 years or so, as jewels often go up in value over time, altering your insurance policy slightly.
The next step to think about is cleaning your ring at home. Whether you have a simple gold band or a diamond set ring, avoiding harsh chemicals is always best. Simply let your ring soak in a bowl of lukewarm water mixed with a few drops of mild soap. Then give it a gentle scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush and leave it to air dry. This should be done every few weeks to remove any oil buildup that may be dampening the shine of your special ring.
Lastly, take your wedding ring to one of our Jewellery Workshops for an expert cleaning. This should be done every 6-18 months to ensure your ring is cleaned and shines no matter the weather!
