Very early on in its story, Jaeger-LeCoultre began to design and create luxury watches for women. Its heritage is resplendent with highly inventive women's watches: pendant, brooch and ring watches; before wrist watches came about in the early twentieth century. The Maison has always focused on offering women timepieces that combine aesthetics with exceptional watchmaking characteristics. Since its birth in 1931, the Reverso watch has been created for women. Its Art Deco design with clean, geometric lines immediately seduced both sexes. With the invention of the Duetto system, which features two dials back-to-back, the Grande Maison created a model, which could be reversed to reveal a piece of jewellery for evening wear.
