Luminor PAM01732 revisits Panerai’s historic Destro configuration, developed to support the operational needs of military divers. By positioning the crown protective bridge on the left side of the case, the watch could be worn on the right wrist, leaving the diver’s dominant hand free to operate essential instruments such as a compass or depth gauge. This purposeful design reflects Panerai’s longstanding approach to watchmaking, where functionality shaped every element. Reinterpreting this archival configuration in a contemporary 44mm format, PAM01732 preserves the spirit of those professional instruments while adapting their distinctive character for modern wear.

A matte blue sandwich dial for the first time on a Luminor Destro construction. Its two-layer construction enhances legibility in all light conditions, while the large 12, 3, 6 and 9 numerals reinforces the instrument character of the watch. The clean display, without small seconds, is paired with light brown vintage leather and blue rubber straps.

Hand-wound movements remain fundamental to Panerai’s watchmaking expertise, echoing the robust calibres that powered its early underwater instruments. The P.6000 delivers a three-day power reserve, a stable balance wheel beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and a stop-balance wheel fro precise synchronization. Visible through the open caseback, it features blue engravings and horizontally brushed plates.
