In order to deliver ‘A Cut Above’ company stock file accuracy, the Internal Stock Auditor is engaged to ensure that each area of the business operates within the policies, procedures and regulations set in accordance with corporate best practices and the law. The Internal Stock Auditor is responsible for ensuring resources are used economically and efficiently in order to support the business in doing things in the best, most economical and efficient way.

Job Description

  • 1.Plan and execute stock audits across the business, analyse and publish results.
  • 2.Review and analyse stock-reporting, detailing stock variances to correct stock records and ensuring stock loss is minimised, identified and fully investigated.
  • 3.Ensuring that best practice stock controls are always maintained in the stores and other stockholding departments to reduce stock/monetary loss. In particular, liaising with the stockroom manager on a regular basis with stock control issues.
  • 4.Assess the effectiveness of the controls and adherence to policy and procedure and manage continuous improvements by ensuring that policies, procedures, plans, laws and regulations are complied with and are in place.
  • 5.Review and analyse cash and stock handling practice ensuring potential risk of theft and/or fraud is minimised and to be responsible for detecting and investigating theft and fraud, including interviewing employees relating to theft or fraud and submitting a comprehensive investigative report to the relevant senior manager.
  • 6.Review refund and discount reports monthly and take action as required
  • 7.Identify potential threats to the company and safeguard against any loss or theft.
  • 8.Assess and measure store standards using company standards and store visit reports.
  • 9.Support the training and induction of new colleagues and managers as part of the new store opening programme.
  • 10.Mentor and develop managers and colleagues in achieving the company standard of stock control.
