Operations Manager

In order to provide `A Cut Above’ service to our stores and support centre, we have a vacancy for a Retail Operations Manager to join us on a permanent basis.
The Retail Operations Manager will lead and develop the Support Centre teams to meet and/or exceed sales plans to deliver the Chisholm Hunter corporate objectives.
The Retail Operations Manager will also be responsible to develop best practice & drive compliance in the key areas of repairs and special orders. In addition, this role will oversee the Stockroom, as well as Property Maintenance companies and support on Shop-fits, Health & Safety, and Luxury Merchandising in terms of facilitating the timely completion of the retail calendar and POS.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Ownership for the Special Orders department and driving sales through adherence to policies and procedures and liaising with stores to ensure they are maximising all opportunities from special orders.
- 2. Oversee the management of the Stockroom and Workshop, develop and implement the Department strategies and set SMART objectives and targets to meet or exceed expectations.
- 3. Work with the Board and other Heads of Department to create and agree the priorities, objectives and targets for the Operational teams and ensure there are systems and procedures in place to deliver.
- 4. Oversee and project manage all Shop-fits and Mini Shop-fits and liaise with property companies to ensure all property is maintained and health and safety is complied with in line with corporate governance.
- 5. Detailed inspections including store conditional surveys
- 6. Work with the Marketing department to facilitate the delivery of the retail calendar and luxury retail point of sale to deadlines.
- 7. Identification of Strategic opportunities to enhance profitability and efficiency by analysing expenditure, staffing of operational departments, and any stock care charter issues.
- 8. Establish timely reviews of current operating performance against agreed expectations.
- 9. Produce and present a range of monthly statistics via Service level Agreements (SLA) reports to the Board.
- 10. Lead your team & conduct 1-2-1s within company guidelines to promote a culture of development and excellence along with demonstrating and driving positive attitudes and behaviours.
- 11. Liaise with Regional Managers and support them to drive positive change in behaviours in their stores based on compliance with the operational procedures. Providing Regional Managers with the specific store information where improvements are required.
