The Role
We are looking for a HR Assistant to join a growing, dynamic HR team based in our Glasgow city centre Support Centre. This role will be permanent, full time, with a clear progression path to HR Advisor over a period of 9-12 months, as well as CIPD Level 5 fully-funded. Come and join our growing CH family!
HR Assistant - Job Responsibilities:
- Drive recruitment strategy at pace (Writing out and posting job adverts on various recruitment channels (eg. Indeed), screen candidates and send relevant CV’s to the Line Managers or Senior Management and arrange and co-ordinate interviews
- Assist HR Advisor/Head of HR with all Employee Relations matters including note taking and research. This may involve travel to other locations.
- Provide 1st line support to management/regional managers with arising issues via phone and email and to be able to handle information sensitively and discretely.
- Support the wider HR team to coach and develop managers on recruitment, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Accurate record keeping on HR systems, updating employee records, issuing offer letters and contracts.
- Work with the HR Advisor to build upon the Chisholm Hunter employer brand.
HR Assistant - Person Specification
- Experience in a commercially focused HR/Recruitment administrator/assistant/coordinator role.
- You will have a passion for recruitment, and working with line managers to succession plan.
- Ideally, you should have knowledge of HR policies and a good knowledge of HR best practice to provide basic HR advice both in-person and via email.
- Dynamic & Proactive with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills - not afraid to pick up the phone!
- Organised and able to multi-task.
- Skilled in Microsoft office suite including basic Excel skills.
