MAKE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY ONE TO REMEMBER

A Tribute To Robert Burns

We are giving customers the most romantic gift of all for Valentine's Day, the poetry of Robert Burns.
From Monday every customer who makes a purchase from Chisholm Hunter, will also receive their own sealed scroll version of Robert Burns' A Red, Red Rose.
The famous song, which is often read as a poem, is believed to have been based on a song Burns heard a girl singing in the countryside. It has been cited by Bob Dylan as the lyric that inspired him most and has been covered by a wide range of artists including Eva Cassidy and Eddi Reader.
Alternatively customers can choose from Wendy Cope's Valentine, an ideal choice for Leap Year proposals, or William Wordsworth's Daffodils.
The new poems follow on from the success of Chisholm Hunter's 'Twinkle Twinkle' Christmas campaign and are being launched in conjunction with its 2012 'The More You Love, The More You Give' window campaign.
Each of the three poems has a different message meaning that they can appeal to those buying both romantic gifts as well as those looking to show a friend or family member how much they mean to them.
We wanted to thank our customers for purchasing jewellery from Chisholm Hunter with these lovely poems, adding a little bit of extra romance to the whole buying experience. We had excellent feedback from our 'Twinkle Twinkle' campaign with many customers coming back to ask for additional copies to frame for their loved ones.
"These scrolls are a reminder to customers of the days of good old fashioned love letters. In the age of emails, Facebook and twitter, it is nice to be able to give something tangible which can be cherished for a lifetime."
